This policy applies to visitors to caricayglobaltravel.com, travellers who book through Caricay, and users of the Traveller Portal and Operations Portal. Caricay Global Travel & Tour is based in Bridgetown, Barbados.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, nationality, passport details where required for a booking, payment information handled by our payment provider, and any documents you upload for visa, study-abroad or work-permit assistance. We also collect booking and enquiry details you submit through search, booking, consultation and contact forms, and basic technical information such as IP address and browser type for security and fraud prevention.
How we use your information
We use personal information to process bookings, quotes, consultations and assistance cases; to communicate booking confirmations, itinerary changes and receipts; to verify identity and prevent fraud on payments; to respond to enquiries and support requests; and to meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary information with hotels, airlines, cruise lines, tour operators, insurers and other suppliers required to fulfil a specific booking; with our payment gateway to process and verify payments; and with service providers who support our operations (such as email delivery) under confidentiality obligations. Traveller documents
Passports, visas and other identity documents uploaded through the Traveller Portal are stored outside the public web root, are not publicly accessible, and are restricted to the staff assigned to your booking or case. Document uploads are validated by file type and size and may be scanned for malware before storage.
Data retention
We retain booking, payment and case records for as long as needed to provide the service, meet accounting/tax retention requirements, and resolve any disputes, after which records are deleted or anonymised in line with our internal retention schedule.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and may opt out of marketing communications at any time, by contacting us using the details below. Some information, such as records required for completed financial transactions, may need to be retained even after a deletion request for legal reasons.
Cookies and similar technology
The public website uses only the technical session and security cookies needed to operate booking forms, the Traveller Portal and the Operations Portal. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
